Well, Ivorian reggae singer and song writer <a href=\"http:\/\/worldmusiccentral.org\/artists\/artist_page.php?id=8411\">Tiken Jah Fakoly<\/a> pulls out all the stops for his latest <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00408MRY0?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=musidelmund-20&amp;linkCode=xm2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creativeASIN=B00408MRY0\">African Revolution<\/a> . Known for such recordings as Franafrique, Cours D\u2019Histoire, L\u2019Africain and Coup De Gueule, Mr. Fakoly has a history of fighting social injustices and oppression with his music and incendiary lyrics. Composing all but a handful of the tracks on African Revolution, Mr. Fakoly continues on his mission to change the political and social landscape all wrapped up in some delightful music.<\/p>\n<p>Opening with a call to create an \u201cintelligent revolution\u201d on the title track \u201cAfrican Revolution,\u201d Mr. Fakoly and a stellar company of musicians drenches this track with a masterful reggae blend laced with ngoni, balafon and electric \u2018manding\u2019 guitar against drums bass, guitar and percussion. Dipping into a plumy acoustic sound for \u201cJe Dis Non\u201d before slipping into a classic reggae sound for \u201cPolitical War\u201d with guest Nigerian singer Asa, African Revolution takes on a Malian griot sound against the meatiness of the Jamaican rhythms with the additions of kora, ngoni, soukou and balafon, making this recording extra special delicious.<\/p>\n<p>Recorded in Kingston, Bamako and Paris, American Revolution\u2019s sound beyond plush, especially on tracks like \u201cIl Faut Se Lever\u201d the flash of electric \u2018manding\u2019 guitar by Petit Conde on \u201cSinimory\u201d or the balafon by Lassana Diabate, tama by Baba Cissoko and yabara by Mokta Kouyate on \u201cSors de Ma Tele.\u201d Other gems include the breezy \u201cVotez,\u201d the funky coolness of \u201cJe Ne Vieux Pa Ton Pouvoir\u201d and the bright folk of \u201cLaisse-Moi M\u2019Exprimer.\u201d Kudos go to producers Jonathan Qarmby and Kevin Backon from the Bob Marley\u2019s Tuff Gong studio in Kingston, Jamaica because the sound and feel is rich.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00408MRY0?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=musidelmund-20&amp;linkCode=xm2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creativeASIN=B00408MRY0\">African Revolution<\/a> is simply stunning in its message and the pure joy of its music.<\/p>\n<p>Buy the album or MP3 downloads:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In North America: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00408MRY0?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=musidelmund-20&amp;linkCode=xm2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creativeASIN=B00408MRY0\">African Revolution<\/a>.
